    Role Summary/Purpose:
      The Mining Senior Account Manager identifies opportunities for GE businesses across the entire GE portfolio, representing the business to “C” level executives, VPs, GMs, within key mining accounts. The Mining Senior Account Manager is expected to be the named customer expert within GE and foster a positive working relationship. Deploy GE technologies to help customers meet their objectives and solve key problems.
    Essential Responsibilities:
      • – Grow revenues for the mining segment including strategy development, integrated account planning, opportunities identification and value communication
      • – Develop strong strategic relationships
      • – Serve & grow every GE P&L
      • – Responsible for the operating plan of assigned mining accounts
      • – Identify areas to penetrate and grow profitability. Strong interface with the marketing organization to drive high value solutions leveraging the GE portfolio
      • – Conduit for solutions, detailed understanding of customer’s business model and how GE products and services develop and deliver added value to the customer
      • – Build customer relationships and communication at all levels
      • – Identify opportunities to develop new products (NPI’s) to support customer needs
      • – Matrix with existing functional and P&L teams to achieve growth objectives. Ability to structure, price, negotiate and close deals
      • – Identify customer total expenditure and assist business to increase existing penetration
      • – Develop a Growth Play Book for assigned mining accounts
      – Utilize Six Sigma tools and methodologies to drive improvements in key processes for the customer
    Qualifications/Requirements:
      • – Business or technical degree, engineering preferred
      • – Minimum 8 years sales experience with major mining corporations
      • – Proven commercial leadership track record to drive global growth with significant customer exposure at executive level in the mining industry
      • – Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust
      • – Mining industry experience in operations, capital project management or EPC with applied knowledge of integrating process technology with utilities such as energy and water
      • – Must be willing to travel 50%+
      – Position should ideally be located in Greater Vancouver Area
    Desired Characteristics:
      • – Strong background in at least one of GE products and services, or similar experience with comparable competitors’ products
      • – Strategic and/or product marketing exposure
      • – Customer-centric mindset, able to translate customer issues/needs into profitable business solutions
      • – Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation & facilitation skills
      • – Concern for all aspects of the job; accurately checking processes and tasks
      – Adaptability: maintaining effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively to work within new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures
